Thanks for the update!
Hello everyone,
I have the same problem, T1000 is totally unresponsive, no led, no serial, no boot … OF course i’ve tried everything, and the support don’t respond to me. I had not problems since now with the same chargers etc …
How long you have to let it sit before trying to charge it again ? Days or weeks ?
Thank you
a few weeks
I think it might have been two or three months. I expect the battery to drain very slowly, and I assumed trying to start up easily added a week back to the timer
Ok thank you for this, let’s wait and see then. Will come back here with some news.
This is the official tutorial of Wiki. We hope it will be helpful to you.
Thank you but the device is totally dead, not even serial connection or DFU mode. So the last solution is to wait the full draining of the battery.
Good news ! I was just planning right now to do a video showing that the device was still not working after few weeks, and it went back on ! Like “please don’t send me back”.
So i had to wait around 15 days to have it back on again.
I’m glad to hear that you have solved your problem. If you have a better solution, please share it here.
Problem is actually not “solved”. How do we prevent this to happen again ? Is it a flaw in the device or it is a software bug ? Do we need to send back the devices to get new ones ?
no do not send back… the best way to prevent is to only use Meshtastic Web Flasher to install firmware… make sure to install the firmware specialized for the T-1000-E do not run the power level too low if possable
I’m don’t agree with your message. Customers don’t have to be “prudent” when using a device, i don’t want to think about charging the T1000 before it drops dead, it’s a flaw, not a feature.
this is standard with LiPo batteries… F around and they will burn your house down… so i would say educate yourself about proper battery management
With some LiPO batteries, one must charge them to activate or wake them up. The ones I have did this. They were down to 1% charge. Would not turn on with the button push. But when I put the charger on them they woke up and started working.
