I had almost the same problem but my green light stayed on and I could not turn it of by holding de button. I could plug it in the USB port and with the 2 disconects on the cable it reset but no DFU mode and no disk in explorer. The USB disconect kept beeping and I had a USB device “Tiny USB”.
Afte one hour trying I noticed that when I connected the cable and very rapidly disconnect and connect again suddenly there was another USB port with the name “rf” in it When I chose DFU mode and then that USB port it worked.
I hope this helps for someone who also has a stuck device.
