click in the white window the option and click connect button below
I really appreciate your help but again: Connecting to to the serial port means of course I have clicked the connect button in the white window and it shows paired. After doing that, no drive is opening. I hope I cleared things out now…
what operating system? windows? did you look in file explorer for the drive letter?

So that looks like it is WORKING correctly to me? Break down you development enviro , what OS , what Firmwares , etc for the devices in question. That looks pretty darn good to me are the A’s a data point that is saved what’s in there?

sounds like a problem on your end boss, maybe try talking nice to it
Check the device documentation for a specific button combination (usually holding a button while connecting via USB).

Newbie here. I’m having a similar issue that the firmware update didn’t work. Unlike the OP, my device is stuck in a boot loop. I’ve tried erasing the firmware, but when I go to the serial window part, it just says it’s “formatting” and nothing else. If I try to reinstall the firmware, all appears well, but then when it done, the device just goes back into a boot loop. In the FAQ, it mentions reloading a bootloader, but the instructions are seriously lacking.
Any help would be appreciated.
FYI, I have one other T1000-E and I 'm holding off updating the firmware as I don’t want to run into issues again.

Did you use this web flasher? Dont update the firmware until you get it working initially (other one)
Yes. I’ve used it on other devices (RAK/T-Echo) and didn’t have an issue. Before I tried updating it, I was able to get this onto the mesh with my other nodes. My other nodes are running 2.5.15, so I wanted to update the T1000-E’s so all my nodes are on the same firmware. The T-1000’s were the first time I tried wiping the flash first, as they recommend. This is where I’m stuck. I’m suspecting that something happened with the erase and it won’t let a new firmware to be flashed properly.
yes you dont need to wipe the flash first. did you do the reset procedure? press the button and “double click” the magnetic connector on and off real fast

Thanks, I used this as a guide. After several hours of trial and error, I muddled my way around PowerShell (never used it before) and several installations of Python, I ended up getting the T1000 in a working condition.
I then updated the other T1000 to the new firmware without doing an erase and it too is now fully operational.
