Hi coloboxp,
Thank you for sharing your concerns and needs in such detail once again. We fully understand your frustration when project progress is delayed due to team members being on vacation or out of office, and we truly appreciate you tagging us promptly to address the issue—this allowed us to focus on your needs in a more timely manner.
Regarding the hardware limitation that prevents the reComputer J401 from supporting the 40W mode, as you kindly acknowledged, it is indeed because JetPack 6.2 and the corresponding 40W specifications had not yet been released during the device’s development phase. This resulted in a hardware design that cannot be adapted to the 40W mode through subsequent software updates, and we deeply regret this inconvenience. To fully resolve such performance requirements, we later launched the “Super” version, which supports high-power modes through a fully optimized hardware solution (including improved power management and thermal design). However, we recognize that this does not directly address the challenges you face with your existing device.
