Desk Watch JOY AIR: a Grove + UNO desk console with joystick and CO2 (coming November 3)

Hi Seeed community,

Thank you for the kind words on my first Desk Watch post. I am now building a whole Grove-based range around a joystick, called Desk Watch JOY, and the first model, JOY AIR, is planned for November 3.

It uses the Grove Base Shield V2, the Grove LCD RGB Backlight, the Grove Thumb Joystick, the Grove Buzzer, the Grove RTC and a Grove SHT31 sensor, plus a Sensirion SCD30 for CO2. Most modules connect with Grove cables. The SCD30 connects with jumper wires, through an I2C level shifter because it runs at 3.3 V.

The console shows the time, CO2, temperature and humidity, a simple verdict and a backlight colour that changes with the air quality. It also has a Pomodoro timer, stopwatch, counter, dice, alarm and melodies.

The same 3D-printed shell is used for all models. Only the base and the tray change depending on your modules.

Questions and ideas are very welcome.

First version: Desk Watch: an Arduino UNO + Grove desk console (climate alerts, Pomodoro, dice, chess clock)

Here is a simplified wiring overview of JOY AIR. The Grove modules (LCD, RTC, SHT31, joystick, buzzer) connect to the Base Shield with Grove cables, and the SCD30 connects with jumper wires through the I2C level shifter. The full schematic and the code will be published on November 3.
