Thanks for the welcome and the help the other day on my thread. When I initially signed up for this forum, like many, I had a question. I couldn’t find the post button, so I read the rules for the forum which didn’t mention anything about why newbies can’t post, or why the button to start a topic didn’t even exist. This thread has a storm of people making noise about wanting to post a topic, so it seemed like I had no choice but to do the same.
If this forum is looking to improve the experience for those who are new, maybe grey out the new topic button and explain what needs to be done to enable it rather than have it not exist. We don’t know what is being tracked or how many minutes/hours/days/posts we need to wait or read before we can get involved. That’s frustrating, especially when we’ve already been banging our heads against new hardware (which compared to arduino has frankly been extremely painful to use).
