I come here to learn about how to post. This is my second reply in what appears to be a three reply threshold before new users can post something new. I searched for my topic but didn’t find it. So, I shall wait several minutes between each of my three replies so I can get the power to start a new thread.
I also just learned that a post has to be at least 20 characters or else it pops up a red message saying that you have to use at least 20 characters. This “About the XIAO category” thread is a treasure trove of information. Apparently there’s also a heart button somewhere. That was the second sentence in the red message. It wanted to know if you had ever used it.
Some posts above say different things about how to get the posting button. They must have changed over time. In my case, I did three replies here, liked a bunch of replies here (about getting the post button, so they were real likes), uploaded a picture, added a bio blurb, snooped around the forum, replied to different post. After that, I got “trust” level. But, no button. I logged out, logged back in. There was the post button. This place feels like a Discourse forum. Everything is gamified. Well, anyway, it took a lot of doing, but I can now post a new thread. I assume. I didn’t try it yet. I had to pop back in here and tell my long story for future travellers.
