What is the ADC reference? Internal? External? How is it selected? I cannot find any documentation on this.

ADC on XIAO is more about which pins support the ADC function. For example, the soil moisture sensor, which is an analogue sensor, needs to use the ADC pins on the XIAO in order to read, so you need to connect it to the pins that support ADC. We will not have a separate document on what ADC is.
