Xiao nRF52840 & WIO SX-1262, Meshtastic Detection Sensor with vibration switch

Using this to detect vibration in a rat trap.

I have 18015P (a normally open vibration switch, two pins).

The detection sensor mode in meshtastic running on this node does not seem to be triggered with vibration in the switch. I can trigger the sensor mode by shorting pin D6 to GND which is how I have the 18015P wired.

The configuration of the node in meshtastic is “SENSOR = ENABLED and mode = SENSOR, GPIO Pin to Monitor = Pin 6, Trigger Type = LOW, Uses Pullup Resistor (internal) = ENABLED”.

I have tried various combinations of LOW, HIGH, FALLING EDGE, RISING EDGE, EITHER EDGE LOW, and EITHER EDGE HIGH. without success.

I am thinking the vibration switch isn’t closed long enough under vibration to trigger the pin LOW?

Considering a 1uF Capacitor in parallel to the switch…

Any thoughts from this esteemed group?

Thanks for any assistance.

…and have now tried with a 0.47uF cap and it seems to work now.
