That is amazing!!! Happy to see it in use

Hi there,

Yes, You got a good one right here, as is or I would make these suggestions.

  1. Make the lid, slide to the rear. The use of the dovetail is brilliant… It’s tight too. you could graduate it or even chamfer the end to make it easier.. as it opens. The end catch tab requires the panel to bend. make it a NUB  I had to increase the wall thickness also or they are fragile.
  2. add a hole into the center cavity for an LED or add some geomerty that acts as a light pipe to the front middle section
  3. Just a TAD wider as you see I did to fit the super small battery :+1:

all in all pretty cool.

Had to add an external Antenna for LR testing

omg… you are going to need a new shelf… elf

I can make a v2. How much wider should it be? do you have a sketch or example what you mean with the LED?

Hi there,

I stretched it (scale) in the slicer
:v:

What I printed was originally (no logo) 21.49mm. on your X,(I printed standing with supports and a Brim) and then "PHATTY "26.5mm wide on the mod for the small battery.

The Center section , can be hollow and make an access hole into it :crossed_fingers:

Lose the dovetail in the front. (keeps it cleaner) Make the TOP slide out to the rear also is better. :+1:
You could turn the WHOLE Xiao 90 degrees and access the Buttons with plastic Paddle buttons in the LID(side),

The side walls need to be sturdier.. too thin on the STL above, I printed, Initially (first set of pics) Battery fits either orientation with stretched side, I increased wall thickness as well.

It’s a great Idea, to have a ready to Go, a Code ready Nugget for deployment. “Batteries Included” :+1:

HTH
