I have been using a Wio Tracker L1 Pro for about 3 months with the Meshtastic app. A few days ago I noted that it is not connected to my mobile anymore. Since then I am trying to re-connect the tracker to my mobile but I can’t reestablish a connection with the app anymore (I also tried with my tablet, same story).
The basic BT setup & connectivity seems to work, i.e. when I re-pair my mobile and the tracker, the tracker obviously receives a pairing request and displays the PIN to use. I enter that on the mobile after which the mobile’s BT setup declares the device as “connected“, but in the Meshtastic app the device does not show up. The connections-icon remains red (i.e. signalling “no device connected”). The device shows up under “paired devices“ but one can not activate it or select it there and the upper part of that tab (where normally details of the selected device are shown) remains empty.
Any idea anyone, how I can reset the tracker and get its BT-connection working again?
I finally fixed the issue by reflashing the device. After that it “behaved“ OK again and I was able to re-pair and re-connect without the slightest issue (as initially after I had bought it).
In retrospect I recall that it had behaved odd already a week or two ago. Do I have a leaky flash-memory chip or was that some super-fast particle tunneling earth and flipping a bit or two? I hope that doesn’t repeat too often… ![]()
