I have recently purchased a USB-CAN Analyzer (version 8.00), and am having difficulties getting it working properly.
After performing a reset (by shorting out the DEFAULT pins and powering it up), I can at least now connect to it from the USB-CAN software, change baud rate, and perform get a message sent and received in “Loop back + silent mode” - so I don’t think there is any fundamental hardware issue with the device.
However, any attempt to get it working in Normal mode have been unsuccessful.
I have tried connecting it to an Arduino using an MCP2515 board, and a send or receive from either side yields no response on the other.
Unfortunately, I have found that documentation that is provided is very poorly translated to English, and it is almost impossible to understand what it should be doing.
Any further tips would be greatly appreciated - so far I’m not particularly happy with this purchase…
