I get asked often How I get and tweak these chachki’s seen in some videos and Posts.
Seeed Studio’s best kept secret for 3D renderings of all there products,
It’s a great resource. Using them is a s easy as download and import into your favorite CAD software, adjust , check or change the Dimensions or create a total new container using the many footprints available. Drop that output to a slicer and 3D bob is your uncle.
I can do a walk through video for Using freeCad as I do these basic steps.
- Create a New drawing
- Import DownLoaded Seeed Grabcad Model
- Adjust edit , Mirror, or just go straight to Export the STL
- Open a Slicer of your choice(I’m using cura’s latest)
- add supports or make multiple parts Slice and Print
- enjoy a frosty libation.

There’s a lot of great model info on the wiki pages too, and printables.com also has a bunch of good seeed models! Here’s a case I designed yesterday as a copy of the sensecap watcher, since they are on back order…
Modelled in the seeed colors for fun.
Yup and with the CAD of the seeed device you can design your own custom cases like this one I made yesterday!

Hi there,
OK,So I’m UP’ing my 3D Printer Game…Again
I tried hard to resist, but 3 years a lot has changed, Speed mostly but
a CFS is a new add too. Multi colors , no more manually Pausing the print and Hoping
it resumes correctly .
Yea , they carried it all the way UPSIDE_DOWN…WTF?
Morons, I swear they don’t read… The top of the Box looks like it’s the bottom , with all the dirt , No doubt it was like that the whole time.
I had to tell the fed_x driver to Flip it over when he carried it up the driveway. They are in such a hurry, they can’t use there eye’s
Terrible…
Incompetent, over-paid, imo.

I’m working on a Xiao module powered lamp.
I’ll be uploading the design to printables when it’s complete.
