Speech Recognizer outputs

MY FIRST POST

I just received and tested the Grove Speech Recognizer but the two output lines seem to be always high when using an led as a logic probe.

The Arduino is not recognizing the outputs from the speech module.

Should the two output lines appear high all the time? What should I see at the outputs while resting and issuing a command?

This module uses serial port for communication, which cannot be used by simply checking the level.

I imaging hooking it up to a pc serial port using a terminal program set correctly using TX, RX, and GND would show the output for testing.
