Specifications of the RTC Coin Battery Installed in J401

According to the datasheet for the J401, the following description is provided:

RTC
"Connect 3V button cell, CR1220 clock can be timed and saved in case of power failure

RTC-Coin Cell Battery Holder - J19
Power Management IC (PMIC) real-time clock battery back-up. Optionally used to provide back-up power for the Real-Time-Clock (RTC). Connects to coin cell (lithium or other). PMIC is supply when charging rechargeable cells. Coin cell is source when system is disconnected from power. Charging is enabled by default in software. If non-rechargeable battery is to be used, charging should be disabled."

The explanation indicates that a CR1220 can be used, and it seems that a rechargeable battery is assumed.

Questions

  1. The CR1220 does not appear to be a rechargeable battery. There seems to be a rechargeable version called the LIR1220 with 3.6V. Is it possible to use this battery?Alternatively, is there a rechargeable version of the CR1220?
  2. If I need to use a non-rechargeable CR1220 battery, could you explain how to disable the charging function?
