Well it arrived and looks great, so first of all thank you for that.
I downloaded the Android App as instructed, however the App wants me to register Global or in China. Well I do not want to leave my Network so I choose private.
I have a local MQTT Server running so this should be enoug, hoever if I select “Private” in the App it will only let me enter an IP (no Port) and it still wants me to register wie E-Mail and Password.
Ok, in case someone finds my ramblings here. the only way you get into the App and get your Watcher to connect is if you do register ONLINE. I have not found another way.
Hello, you need to bind your SenseCraft account for the first time to use Watcher, you can choose Global when registering your SenseCraft account, then you need to login to your registered account to bind Watcher, the private account in SenseCraft APP can’t be used to bind Watcher.
After binding your Global account, you can follow the localization tutorial in the wiki to complete the localization of AI service or alarm service.
I don’t want to use the app and create an account to use the Watcher with Home Assistant. It’s going back in the box until it can be used without using the app, and without registering and agreeing to data sharing. If I had known that requirement I wouldn’t have bought it
I understand very well your concerns and considerations about this. The main reason for the need to bind the account is because Watcher needs to call SenseCraft’s AI service, which is not capable of understanding human language and behavior analysis on its own. If it is not bound, then it cannot utilize its full capabilities.
