It is a solar-powered communication node that integrates the XIAO nRF52840 Plus main controller, the Wio-SX1262 LoRa module, and the XIAO L76K GPS module. It is specifically designed for areas without network coverage. With a built-in battery, it supports long-distance communication, precise positioning, and low-power operation. It’s suitable for expanding network coverage in outdoor areas.
Hi there,
Looks pretty sweet

What is the deal on Meshcore? , does it support it?
I would want to Print a Better enclosure for the whole thing.
let us know how it performs. ![]()

the enclosure is very heavy… part is the 18650’s… but i think the plastic is heavy too
it seems the Seeed lineup is supported by a web flasher… i will investigate further
I am not seeing the advantage to switching at this time… this may because the UK has a duty cycle limit on LoRa broadcast frequency… so it may be benefical for a local area network
Hi there,
Awesome, Yea so I asked because thy are saying the messaging is working Very well. Multiple hops too.
This would be the holy grail if they get it working Nationally…![]()

Do you know if this product has wifi built in? I can’t seem to get wifi options to show up.
I dont think so… what do you mean wifi
it communicates with the phone app with bluetooth..
It would be nice if it could relay messages to the internet
but i dont think meshtastic has those capabilities either
It would be nice if it could relay LoRa messages to the internet
Thank you for your answer. The Meshtastic App that i have seems to have 3 modes to talk to a device: Bluetooth, Wifi, and Serial. So some people must be using wifi as a connection, I imagine.
The Wi-Fi option in the Meshtastic app is a generic app feature, not something supported by every hardware platform.
For nRF52 / nRF52840-based builds, Meshtastic excludes the Wi-Fi implementation entirely, so Wi-Fi will not show up or work on devices based on that chip.
So yes, seeing Wi-Fi in the app is normal, but that feature is not meant for this particular product. This device should use Bluetooth or Serial instead.
Hello buddy! please introduce yourself… also you can link up with me on the seeed discord
What is the deal on Meshcore? , does it support it?
Yes, there are hundreds of these Solar P1 repeaters in the MeshCore network here. It’s officially supported on flasher.meshcore.dev under “Seeed Studio SenseCAP Solar”
FYI MeshCore Repeater Firmware v1.14.1 has finally added proper duty cycle enforcement. I probably can’t post links yet but you can find it on the official GitHub repo.
