ReSpeaker 2-Mics Pi HAT + Pi 4

I am unable to find a right way to use the ReSpeaker 2-Mics Pi HAT on Raspberry 4 with cooling fans. Are there any recommendations for using GPIO extension cables to move the HAT away from the Pi Board? Or has anyone use manual connector wires to hook up the HAT to Pi ?

Hi @jetsonNanoSG I found some raspberry pi 40pin cable which may help.

Thanks Kevin. All these cables carry female connectors on both sides. This HAT needs a male header to connect to. I’ll keep looking for a female-to-male ribbon cable.

Can I also ask - is it possible to NOT use a GPIO connector? If possible, I would like to connect only necessary GPIO pins used by this HAT using individual cable.

How about this~ cut the cable in two part and only soldering the few pins needed to a header and plug the header to the ReSpeaker Pi HAT

Thanks again Kevin. What are the few pins needed by this HAT. There must be documentation on this?

Hi @jetsonNanoSG, You can find the required pin from the PCB schematics, I attached the PCB Schematics image here, you can get the originals files from the Pi HAT wiki page

awesome - thank you so much. exactly what I needed
