How do I get the PCIe lane or lanes to work in the M.2 B-Key slot for 5G modems?
I have purchased and installed a PCIe Only 5G modem (Quectel RM520N-GL-AP) - It is not detected at all, lspci shows nothing. The slot is listed to have the following specifications: M.2 B-Key 1 x B-Key 2242/2252/2280 (PCIe 3.0 x2; USB2.0 x1) (source Seeed Wiki) - However there is a sticker that shows ‘PCIe 3.0 x 1 / USB 3.0 x 1’ - which any of these PCIe specs should work.
I’ve verified a USB 5G M.2 modem works fine, and I also purchased an adapter that uses the PCIe slot in the reServer to a M.2 B-Key and it works properly there, but then I cant use the HDD bays.
Please advise.
