reComputer J4012 (OrinNX 16GB) - JetPack 6.1 and 6.2

Hi all.
I’ve tried JP 6.2 and 6.1 and still the same:
I Can’t upgrade it.

I always get an error when apt is trying to update nvidia-l4t-* packages:

Is there any solution to this ?
This is affecting the use of Nvidia

Thank you

Hi there,

So I see it’s been a whil since you were last here, A lot has changed, but the Clones are just that Clones , but not Exact clones. If you keep looking and reading you will arrive at the conclusion. You can’t use Nvidia stuff to update or Upgrade these units. The Device tree files and other portions, like WiFi and HDMI are Not the same.

Read up on how exactly to go about it and in the other threads are some links AFAIK to the “Other” stuff needed to make the jump from JetPack to JetPack a thing. :+1:

Hi !
I’m not around the forum, but I’m on discord.
I know this are SeeedStudio’s “ports” and some stuff is not the same.

The thing is, this is affecting, not only JP 6.2 but also 6.1 .
I’ve installed JP 6.0 and it seems to be working.
If this is not ready for production and Seeed knows this, why do they make available those versions ?
They know people are going to install and try them .

I think they should only make them available when they are ready for production.
But hey, thank you Seeed to make this available.

Hi there,

Well , let’s just say the Documentation sometimes LAgs  the users base requests…to make stuff work. I agree with you but it’s changing so fast if you sleep on it the next week it;'s something different :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I think 6.1 started the Supermode compatibility tree requirement or something I’ve been told. That is why 6 was a plug and play pretty much , though some did have issue’s with Wifi if they had updated to a later driver, and the latest HDMI wasn’t included and the carry over was Nurf’d up so Folks saw issues there.
Stay with it and stay calm , they will come through. I like they are just coming of a holiday so be patient. :crossed_fingers:

It is great hardware though for the price, just the clone part is biting a little. YMMV
