So I see in the older thread here , It was actually 2.0.14 that works,

Hi there, I went back and checked my working demo, I used the original esp32by Espressif systems 2.0.8. , tried the other all the way to the Alpha 's 3.0.0 . or you get some really Wacky errors

and Always double check the board options , PSRAM, FS type etc. IDE has a mind of its own sometimes
