I updated both the BIOS and the EC and now the system keeps powering ON, either because I connect a power cable and the device starts (like if its configured to turn on on power), or some time after i power off the device (without removing power) the device restarts…
Please help to resolve this!
NOTE:
Initially I updated the BIOS and EC in order to resolve another issue where the device sets the refresh rate of the display to the max that the connected screen supports.
for example, I use a 144 hz main screen, when I connect the Odyssey it sets the refresh to 144 (which the device doesnt support) and i loose screen altogether - happens after windows update display driver install.
to resolve this, use teamviewer to lower the refresh rate when you connect a higher refresh rate screen…
And now I have a greater problem, after I updated the BIOS and EC, the system keeps powering ON, either because I connect a power cable and the device starts (like if its configured to turn on on power), or some time after i power off the device (without removing power) the device restarts…
Im not sure, but i installed the latest Bios first and then the “auto startup” feature started, and i left it like this for a week (always with this problem), only after this time I installed the latest EC (maybe would fix the issue…), issue continue… so I dont know if EC is related…
I installed the following BIOS:
SD-BS-CJ41G-300-101-C
(BIOS Update was not automated like mentioned on the wiki, but OK…)
Tried to Install the latest EC (SD-EC-CJ41G-M-101-K) from the provided package, not possible…
After troubleshooting the startup.nsh found this:
@echo -off
for %a run (0 15 1)
if exist fs%a:\SD-EC-CJ41G-M-101-J then
fs%a:
cd SD-EC-CJ41G-M-101-J
cls
FEC64.nsh
endif
endfor
clearly someone forgot to update the script for the new version,
on the script I replaced the two wrong SD-EC-CJ41G-M-101-J for SD-EC-CJ41G-M-101-K
and flash worked.
QUESTIONS/ISSUES:
1 - For the BIOS startup F7 option is not working anymore
(after BIOS update)
2 - Boot order on BIOS is not respected anymore
(after BIOS udpdate)
3 - For the EC, was the script the only “wrong” file? could there be more wrong files on the package?
I got no error during the flash procedure…
INFO:
So far the Odyssey did not auto start, but lets wait…
Haven’t used the Odyssey after the update yet so cant say if anything else is bad/broken now…
