New Arduino Q Device

This video offers a candid Arduino Q review, exploring its strengths and weaknesses. Paul McWhorter tests the board’s functionality, including its Linux and Arduino capabilities. Unexpected OS update issues and communication challenges between the microcontroller and microprocessor are also encountered.

Thank you for presenting this video here. I have the same thinking (and feeling) like the author and I would also expect a low level communication between two systems on one board.

What I hate is getting dependent on software like the presented APP of Arduino to use both systems together. I want to understand the basic functionalities and want to use any (open source) software to optimize my applications for a given hardware. Till now, Arduino was rather open on that.

I also use Raspberry Pi (4) together with Arduino (Nano BLE 33, trying to replace it by Seeed XIAO NRF…) linked via UART. Having both on one PCB would be nice. But with the possibility to use my software. I have a similar environment like Arduino on my Pi (setup and loop) and my basic tools (timing and state machines in C/C++) compile as well on the Pi as on any Arduino.

PJ said the whole arduino has been bought by qualcom… makes sense now… before they had a unit that bridged the linux… i forgot the name… i tried to look up on the arduino page… they used to have a retired hardware page… but it is gone now… I am sure the chip to chip link exists in hardware… but they want you to use an app to access it… what da?
