I can Verify the standard Arduino Blink example. When I click Upload, the Upload complete message is displayed but there is no blinking LED. I did not change the code, so I was expecting the on-board LED (pin 13, green, per MAiXDUiNO documentation) to blink. Instead, it appears that even the upload is reported as complete, the code does no further execution.
I do see the following messages:
[code][INFO] Initialization flash Successfully
Programming BIN: |================================---------------------------------| 50.0% 53kiB/s[/code]
and the last two displayed lines are:
</s>Programming BIN: |=================================================================| 100.0% 53kiB/s
[INFO] Rebooting... <e>
At this point the program seems hung. What should I do to move forward? (I have posted the same question at the sipeed forum but the two individuals who replied seemed to think that I was confused between Arduino and MicroPython. With all due respects to the two individuals, I am not confused and I fully understand that MicroPython (where I have an installation issue too) is a completely separate topic. Thanks for your attention.
