Documentation: How to command the NodeODM So... I am learning about ODM I am not… an expert in linux I notice in NodeODM it command is docker run -p 3000:3000 opendronemap/nodeodm ( Docker-> Run -. NodeODM on port 3000) can anyone explain why it says 3000 twice? also can anyone explain why it is entirely different than WebODM bash commands cd webodm (change directory to WebODM) ./webodm.sh start (run command start from file webodm.sh) so the reason i am asking is in docker when i reboot the machine the docker is off when i start docker desktop i normally go to bash and do the webodm bash start command thing but it seems if i start the docker webodm container from the play button it does not automaticly start the webodm server localhost:8000 -> Nothing localhost:3000 -> Nothing also it seems that after every restart and issue of the NodeODM command above it creates an all new container of 3000 is this correct operation... is there no cd NodeODM? is there no ./NodeODM.sh start ? should i just delete the extra containers when they overflow? what about if you need to restart a node after a power failure? what if you need to update NodeODM... no liveupdate command I wonder if this could be managed from a plugin for webODM? or add more controls in the processing node area.. or maybe I do not see what is already available I am confused.. i am sure there is a reason but why is the two run this way If someone could update me and make it clearer in the documentation

Hi there,

I dunno Man this is a double speak from there Fundrasier page,

“Our purpose is to enable monitoring and observations of the world through free and open source geospatial and non-geospatial technology. OpenDroneMap develops and designs affordable, open, and locally sustainable technological solutions to measure, monitor and understand complex environmental processes and for scientific and educational purposes.”

They sell a Manager for money , LOL NON-profit ? and support But NOT for the ODM ? I guess they don’t own the source code… seems sketchy to me like a face book group with only 1000 followers(many bots).

I would just buy a commercial competitor with real support, it is very cool shift though , flying over and making a scan with Height in the results , How High the Barn is ?? WTH wowsa…

Yes a TOTAL Non-Profit Scam… Buy a open source code… make it defacto closed source and then start a non-proffit educational foundation to pay yourself to be an A-Hole

YES… my first strike was when I said something like… why dont you just say this is a wrapper around third party code which we dont control and dont understand… atleast i would respect you in the morning… maybe a little combative…

hii there i was not able to follow on what was the issue with open drone map. I am planning on using that for my projects can you kindly mention on what was the actual issue and is it safe to use it on projects.

open drone map is a good program… my issue with them is they are not good with customer service… the guy who runs it is Stephen Vincent Mather and he is a bully… he blocked me off of his forum and then followed me to github and blocked me from there too. The WILL NOT tolerate any questions and will harass and block anyone who ask questions and refuses to take no for an answer… I filed a complaint with Github and they aslso blocked me. so i guess I have a bad additued… so it is definatly a use at your own risk type of thing.

But I would say use it if you want to… but the documentation and support is sorely lacking…

Yea, how else can they monopolize the Sales of this glorified “Wrapper” by selling an open source product like they add to the Dev efforts “NOT”
they complain when it breaks one of there operational assumptions.

Louis Rosman is Correct, these kind of companies and the owners are the worst thing for transparency when they vampire on to a Public domain code base.

Screw them.

One way you can tell a person is ignorant is when they will be happy to write a paragraph when the answer is yes or no
