Just bought a seeed avrisp, and it doesn't work with ATMEL Studio 7

Seeed studio has this:

…which states that it works with new versions of ATMEL Studio.

I’m sorry–I should have clarified: please let me know how to flash it so it works with current versions, or how to return it for a refund.

Our documentation says this doesn’t work new versions of ATMEL Studio.
It works with ATMEL AVR Studio 4.13 @CSTaylorJr

But this is incorrect: there is (as far as I can tell) no way to upgrade its firmware. Further, AVR Studio 4.13 is no longer supported by Atmel, and is no longer available for download.

It can’t upgrade the firmware. If you can’t download ATMEL AVR Studio 4.13, please download avrstudio7, please download the latest version of AvrStudio. Tools select stk500.
