I can't install ubuntu server on Odyssey x86

I want to install ubuntu server 18.04.5 LTS on Odyssey x86.+64GB emmc
So I follow install guide supported by seeedstudio.com
( Create bootable USB, installing OS…etc…)
but My odyssey send some error message while instaill.
first, modsign couldn’t get UEFI db list (after select boot device)
second,
disabled autocofiguration failed : block probing did not discover any disks, Unfortunately this means that installation will not be possible. (while follow ubuntu server installing)

i don’t know this 2 message mean. furthermore, I can’t find how to solve this problem.
Please Let me know how to install ubuntu on my odyssey

Hi @sooyoung_ho

Can you provide some screenshots of this error. Can you check the install medium(the usb drive) is configured properly? Have you tried installing other OS?

this is my USB drive(F:) . I just follow guide with balenaEtcher

So you used the etcher tool to create the USB drive?

Did you see sucessful message at the end?

yes i see sucessful message.
Additionally, connect usb to Odyssey, tab F7, select my USB driver for boot.
Other device after this step, show menu about install ubuntu server for me.
but in Odyssey, before show menu, I see some log(looks like error).
Logs are about ‘unmounting’ or ‘mounting’ .
I can’t capture this logs because too fast to capture T^T.
I hope my additional words help you understand.

Yes sounds like normal procedures. Can you try installing the Ubuntu 18.04(This is the stable version) and see if this works? I’m also concern about your USB stick because you said something about mounting which could means can mount the USB drive on the PC.

format USB and do install process again.
I record monitor and capture some circumstances.
Other devices (Not Odyssey) are not showing like this messages and install ubuntu well.
(I use same USB driver)
Can you help me by looking at the pictures below?

works fine for us… just standard ubuntu 18

Hi @sooyoung_ho

Please try another USB, it’s seems it’s not mounting your USD drive properly.

Now I’m trying to use another USB.
By the way, My teammate ask me about using SD card.
An additional question, Can i use SD card for installing?

I find my mistake.
My Odyssey is X86J4105800.
And I find table on device info.table
According to that table, My Odyssey don’t have storage?
Should I buy another storage?
Can I use SD card as storage?(install OS on SD)

I see.

This might not be able to work. It’s better to install your OS on SSD or harddrive.

USB would work for some some OS such as openwrt OS.
