How Can I Be Superuser?

I just got a BeagleBone Green Wireless and using Debian 9.9 LXQT can’t activate the Superuser function.
When I try I get the message; sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set.
Is it possible for me to be Superuser and if so how???

Maybe you can try this command

sudo su

I get the same error message - “sudo: /usr/bin/sudo must be owned by uid 0 and have the setuid bit set”. From what I was reading somewhere the latest software does not permit a root login. When I try that I am asked for a password that I can’t find anywhere. Hitting the enter key does not work nor does “temppwd”. I realize having administrator access can cause problems but not being able to become Superuser in my opinion severely limits the usefulness of the board.

I think there may be a problem with your eMMc or SD that is causing file system damage, send me the dmesg log and I’ll analyze it for you. @LubeckTech
