Help me understand ESP32C6 buttons

I got a couple of these boards and everywhere I look there is talk about the ‘buttons’. My boards don’t have any buttons. There’s pads in the places where people say there are buttons,

What the heck am I missing?

Can you post a link/photo of the particular board that you’re using?

Thank you for your response; it is much appreciated. My friend called me moments after I posted and came over to see them because his had two switches on it.He scraped something off the switch and the dark middle showed up. Then we played with it to be sure they worked.

It seems the boards I have (yes, both of them) had something over the switch that scraped off really easily by thumbnail. Now, the dark center to the switch is clearly visible and I feel like an idiot for not thinking about something like that. Sorry, I can’t post a ‘before’ picture because I already got the stuff off.

These tiny boards can be a challenge sometimes.

Hi there,

So it’s an occasional problem with the smaller XIAO 's with the small buttons, here is a picture of an nrf and an S3 that the reset button has left the CHAT :face_with_hand_over_mouth: The boot button still works, So I fitted it with a set of the BIG buttons (3D-Print) and hold the boot button on the big set and plug in the USB cable (at the same time) and I can still program it. The other NRF52840 that one I use exclusively in the XIAO Dev_Expansion board (has its own reset button)

they are mechanically broken, so replace or work around add external shunt push button. :crossed_fingers:

Typically to enter bootloader mode (for programming) You hold the BOOT button down, while pressing and releasing the reset button, then let the boot button go.(last) FYI, some cases the commport number may change. YMMV Once connected you r good to go!
