Hi,
May I check on the updates with regards to Grove Ultrasonic Ranger Measuring Specifications?
Please elaborate how the Measuring Range and the default detecting distance of Ultrasonic Ranger is calculated and intended to work in detail?
Thanks.
Hi
Niyas,

Hi Bill,
I have already consolidated the technical specification and description of Grove Ultrasonic Ranger from its Wiki site.
Link: http://wiki.seeedstudio.com/Grove-Ultrasonic_Ranger/
I am interested to find out in detail how the placement of this sensor might affects its measurements or the intended outputs.
Please assist with the following quires probably by providing a diagram to explain:
· Is the Grove Ultrasonic Range required to be placed at its line of sight?
· For the default measuring range is it sensor calculating the vertical or horizontal distance from the placement of Ultrasonic Ranger?
Thanks.
Hi Niyas,
The emitting surface is a cone with an angle of 15 degrees, When it hits the objects, the beam will return to echo sensor. If the beam can enter into echi sensor, the distance can be measured. Or else, it can not. Here is the datasheet of the 2 sensors, trig and echo.
