Can't Telnet to WiFi Shield

Hi,

I am having trouble connecting to the WiFi Shield (seeedstudio.com/depot/wifi-s … th=139_141) via Telnet once the Shield has joined an Access Point.

The WiFi Shield has firmware version 2.23. After joining a network, the “get ip” command returns:

get ip

IF=UP
DHCP=ON
IP=192.168.1.34:2000
NM=255.255.255.0
GW=192.168.1.1
HOST=192.168.1.36:8080
PROTO=UDP,TCP,
MTU=1524
FLAGS=0x7
BACKUP=0.0.0.0
<2.23>

But when I telnet 192.168.1.34 200, it always says could not open connection.

Any hints?

Jacob

I found out if you turn off the wireless router authentication and just leave it at open, I could telnet to the wifi shield. Finally managed to update the firmware to 2.36.

Hopefully this will help someone stuck at where I was.

Jacob

Where have you find this 2.36 version?

Thank you

Pedro

Could this be that you have to telnet to 192.168.1.34:2000 (not 192.168.1.34:200
