I’ve recently received my Xiao expansion board (SKU 103030356) and i’ve noticed the chips under where the ESP sits are getting very hot when I’m charing a 3.7V lipo throught USB C.
Is this normal? Also, is there reverse polarity protection on the board?
So the pogo pins may be an issue, put a piece of paper or tape over those.
or lift it up a little so it’s not touching the pogo pins see if that helps.
I had a dream last night… you problem may be reverse polarity of the battery connector… check very closly the battery polarity +/- at the connector is the same as the LiPo battery… for some reason the Seeed Expansion Board polarity is reversed. I use a special pig tail for my batteries to swap sides… or you may be able to extract the pins and swap.
