XIAO ESP32S3 & Wio-SX1262 Kit How to read battery voltage

I am using this with the Xiao expansion board.

In the meshatstic app the battery status is random…
I add a 220k divider to the back of the esp32s3 at the battery pads and fed it with the battery voltage, no change. Grounding the input, no change. same on the A0 pin.

Anyone know how to get a proper battery reading?

The wiki says you can’t read the battery voltage from the gpio on the esp32s3.
