I also had trouble assigning GPIO pins for and external notification LED. Each time I assigned a pin, the Xiao would lock up completely and I had to re-flash the Meshtastic firmware. I had to try 5 different pins before I got it to work.

Could you share your process and which pin you found to work for your external notification LED?

This could prove handy for folks just figuring their way around this S3+Wio kit. Thanks!
