Bought these almost a year ago. Seeed won’t give me a refund and I won’t go back to Arduino IDE to get them going. Leave that for the cub scouts. Scout Masters use uSoft Visual Studio / Platform IO. So sad.
Hi there,
So I guess You expect Seeed Studio to create something from nothing in the PlatformIO space?
Sure we all like using the VS PlatformIO for is working debugging as well.
But you’re way OFF , USEless in the tittle? WTH? Well all that says is a lot about ones skill level maybe? because they are far from useless if you know your way around.
They aren’t defective are they?
Why did you order them before checking on if the framework was available?
Just search on here for C6 see what boys to men are doing with this MCU.
You do realize that Arduino needs to add it to the framework as espressif put it in last minute so it wasn’t in the previous released roadmap. add to that they(espressif) up’d everything to 5.0 ESP-IDF compatibility and stuck it to a lot of users and older examples because the New BSP’s take away that older stuff. There is a post on here covering it.
I suggest you look at some tutorials or youtube video’s or something? do some research and get your info straight or at least in line with current events hell the BSP is at 3.0.5
most co. don’t take returns a year later either.
Any Scout Master worth his merit badge wouldn’t speak down like that either…LOL
If you need help post up some code and a lot of smart folks on here can help.

Kinda funny , you want an Arduino Framework but won’t use the Arduino IDE, if your advanced or that hardcore then why not just use the ESP-IDF 5.2.2. framework in PLIO that works… Hilarious,
This reference info below may give you some enlightenment
PIO doesn’t yet support that framework on that board:
https://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/boards/espressif32/esp32-c6-devkitc-1.html
You’ll see they only lost the esp framework towards the end of the page.
Opposed to the esp32 S3 8gb no psram board that supports both frameworks:
https://docs.platformio.org/en/latest/boards/espressif32/esp32-s3-devkitc-1.html
And I think this is the GitHub issue surrounding potential support: Support Arduino ESP32 v3.0 based on ESP-IDF v5.1 · Issue #1225 · platformio/platform-espressif32 · GitHub
We already have a tutorial on using the Xiao ESP32-C6 on PlatformIO. Have you tried it?
Sharkface!.. where you been i was missing you!
And there you go, Receipts included…
Hi there,
@sigmdel ,One time is sufficient on this topic , we get it there’s a fork…
no need to post it more than once. unless of course you tried it and have something to add.
Thanks for contributing.
