Wio Terminal not connecting to JLINK

Ive recently bricked my Wio Terminal (prob overwritten the bootloader), as it is not visible as a device, blue LED is always blinking, and double swiping the reset button doesn’t change anything. (device not visible as an external drive).

Im trying to flash it using JLINK, I’ve soldered on wires to SWDCLK, SWDIO and GND, and connected them to the appropriate ports in JLINK, following this guide

I believe the cables are attached correctly, (I checked with a multimeter whether they let through electricity), However when running the JLINK gdb server for Cortex-M4, but when it gets to:

What could I still be doing wrong? Should i also solder on the RST pin? Or power the Wio Terminal from the Jlink via 3.3V pin? (Currently its powered via USB C from my PC)

Here is a picture of my soldering:

Hello,
Additionally I have 3.3 V of the Wio Terminal connected to pin 1 of the j-link 20 pin plug besides powering the Wio Terminal via USB.
SWD and not JTAG connection has to be used. The correct MCU has to be selected.

Thanks a lot! This did the trick! Can I point out to moderators that this guide is incomplete in this case, as it never mentions VTref.

Here it also mentions selecting M4 cortex as the family device, while there is a profile specifically for ATSAMD51P19, (as mentioned by RoSchmi) so that could also be updated.

Glad to hear you got it working. It’s a good idea to point out the missing things to the moderators, feel free to do so. When you have the J-Link attached, don’t miss to try j-link debugging with PlatformIO.
