Wifi issues Debian 10

Hello,

Sorry for writing in “bad English”, I’m living in the Flemish speaking region of Belgium

While installing Debian 10 on a X86J4105 I skipped the “install external drivers” part.
After completing the install, wifi and bluetooth aren’t working.
How can I install (and where to find) the drivers to get the wireless working?

Thanks in advance,
Michel

This driver is officially maintained by Debian, but you skipped it.

Hello Baozhu,

Is there a way to install the driver when Debian is already up and running?

Thx in advance,
Michel

Hi from France, same problem here ! No wifi nor bluetooth after fresh debian install. Yes we skipped it @Baozhu ! How to remediate ? Thanks.

found (for wifi) : Edit /etc/apt/sources.list to add :
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian buster main non-free
deb http://security.debian.org buster/updates main non-free

then

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install firmware-iwlwifi

Bluetooth is present but couldn’t associate …

My WLAN works, but Bluetooth doesn’t.

Did anybody get Bluetooth to work with kali? Like Debian (kali is based on debian) the firmware-iwlwifi is installed but doesn’t work. I’m using Kali via live USB.

I have Mint installed on M.2 and it works flawlessly.

Thank you for any assistance.

Stupid me, I needed to start the service via the following command:

sudo /etc/init.d/bluetooth start

Everything works fine, I love this device.
