USB type C support USB3.1 (Solved)

This is my first post on this forum
I am just starting to use Seeeduino XIAO boards.
How do I know if my charging/uploading cable is the correct type or not?
The link provided here is not working: https://www.seeedstudio.com/USB-Type-C-to-A-Cable-1Meter-p-4085.html

Jim.

Hi there,
and Welcome here.

So if you plug-in the USB from computer to Xiao does it see anything or make windows chime for new device? Also when you use Arduino IDE you should see a com port for it in the Boards selection settings. Be sure to read over the WiKi for Xiao and the Seeeduino. Lots of good info albeit some might be out of date… YMMV

Thanks for the prompt reply.

The computer does not see anything. No Windows sound because I use Linux operating systems on my computer.
Also, after I run an upload from the arduino IDE, I see the error notice:
“No Device found on ttyACMO”

I assume this answers my question in the negative, correct?

Edit:
How do I know what to order to replace with the correct cable?
Edit#2
I just ordered one of these:

Is this the correct “Data” cable for the task?

Jim.
