I’m using OSX Yosemite with the Edison wearable kit. I’m able to program the Edison with the various xadow modules using the Arduino IDE, uploading over /dev/cu.usbmodem1413. However, I’m unable to connect to Edison’s Linux console as there isn’t a /dev/cu.usbserial??? device.
I even tried installing the OSX FTDI driver from ftdichip site …/Drivers/VCP.htm
