The ultrasonic ranger module specifies a “global” current consumption of 15 mA. Is this the peak current?
The idle current is about 6.5 mA at 5 V, so I assume that the 15 mA specified value is the peak current. But I don’t know what “global current consumption” refers to, and I’d like to be sure that I can safely power the module from Arduino digital I/O pins.
