Trouble Identifying Correct Antenna For Jetson Orin NX J4012 WiFi Module

Hi, I have trouble identifying the correct connector type for the antenna shown in the guide Use Infineon Wi-Fi Module on reComputer. I followed the guide and bought the same brand/model for the WiFi Module and WiFi Antenna from DigiKey.

However, the antenna is short. I want a longer antenna (>50cm) to stick out of the metal enclosure. The Jetson, including the metal casing, is place inside another metal enclosure. The WiFi signal may be weak inside the enclosure. Hence, I need the antenna to be long to extend outside the enclosure and receive the signal.

I went to buy the WiFi Antenna (30cm IPEX4 connector type) from Aliexpress. However, the circular tip of the antenna is smaller and cannot be mounted on the WiFi Module. I attached an image below to show the difference in size. The green circles are the antenna bought from DigiKey and the red one is bought from Aliexpress.

Can I check what is the correct name of this connector type in this antenna? Could you provide a link where I can purchase a long antenna for this WiFi module? Thank you.

Note that this is a continuation from my earlier post. I created a new one since it is a different topic.

The DigiKey antenna has the correct U.FL (or IPEX) connector that fits the module, while the one from Aliexpress likely has a different connector type, or it could be an “IPEX 4” or another variant, which is slightly different in size.

To purchase a longer antenna (>50cm) for your Wi-Fi module, you should ensure the connector type is U.FL or IPEX (the terms are often interchangeable). You should also check that the antenna has the correct frequency range for your Wi-Fi module (e.g., 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz bands).

Thank you for the reply. I understand I have to search for antenna with U.FL and IPEX connector types.

I saw this shop that sells IPEX1, IPEX3, IPEX4, IPEX5 connector types. There is another shop that has IPX in the connector name.

Is IPX and IPEX1 referring to the same connector type as U.FL and IPEX? If so, does that mean I should have bought the IPEX1 connector type from that shop instead of IPEX4 one on Aliexpress? Thank you for the clarification.
