I am using KiCad for the first time and intend to use Fusion PCB service for the boards. The tutorial for KiCad says for dimensions for tracks and vias to consult with the PCB manufacturer to get manufacturing capabilities. The following are the default settings (inches):
Clearance 0.010
Track Width 0.008
Via dia 0.035
Via drill 0.025
uVia dia 0.020
uVia drill 0.005
Drilling Hole(Mechanical) 0.3 - 6.35 mm
Finish Hole(Mechanical) 0.8 - 6.35 mm
I suppose that the 0.03 didn’t came from those values.
The only thing that has this same value is Out Layer Copper Thicknes, if this is the case, what is the relation of Out Layer Copper Thickness and a via?
I think the correct figure should be the imperial one, that is, 12 mils. If you multiply 0.012 * 25.4 = 0.3048, that is, 0.3mm. The extra 0 may be just a typo.
