I’m not able to shut of the purple data trace persisting on the screen after turn-on.
Any suggestion ?

Go to “Ex” menu, then increment “Ext Ref” until the purple waveform is gone. Once you have it gone, save your configuration by holding the run/stop button.
Alternatively, get the BenF firmware, which is better than stock in pretty much every way. The measurements and triggers actually work! Thank’s to rimidalv007’s patch, a working version is available for the 3.26 bootloader.
