Solar Power Grove plant Kit

Hi,

I wanted to try the seeedstudio.com/depot/Grove- … -2528.html
But as I want it to use outside, I also want to supply it by solar power.
So my question is: What would be the easiest and most effective way to power the kit (pump included)

My first idea was: Using a Seeed Studio LiPo Rider Pro(Whats the difference to the solar charger? Any advantage/disadvantage for one or the other?) with a Solar Panel and connect it to an external battery which can provide 5V and 12V ( e.g. Aukey 16000mAh-Portable-External-Battery)

Would that work, is there an easier way?

Hi,

We have three options for powering up your project with solar panel

1.The Lipo rider Pro(wiki documentation)
2.Solar charger shield v2.2 (wiki documentation)
3.Energy shield (wiki documentation)
all these supports only 5V output.

Its not possible to supply 12V using any of these.

Thank you for the information.
is there an important difference between the LiPo-rider and the Solar Charger?

But if I take a leveshifter from 5V to 12V after the LiPo-rider, it would work, right?
