Seeeduino Mega v3.0 to 5V power supply

Hello,

Is it possible to power the Seeeduino Mega v3.0 with an external 5V source? Should I connect this 5V directly to the 5V and GND headers?
When done so, can I then connect the USB or will this break the board or USB port?

Note: A similar question was asked for the 1.23 version but that answer cannot be applied to version 3.0 because the power circuits between these versions are quite different.

Hi,Dear
Seeeduino Mega have a external power port,and the range less than 12V.
And you can connect this 5V directly to the 5V and GND headers,it’s ok. But you should use ‘Vin’ header if the voltage is more than 5v.
