Repost: Wio Link not working

Hi,
I received my wio link yesterday. I am unable to connect it to my wifi I tried at work & at home both networks it gets to a point where it says “Waiting Wio Link get ip address…” then after a little while it says:
“Error
Wio Link can not connect to the router. Maybe AP password is wrong or AP connect timeout.
Please reset Wio Link to config mode and try again.”

I am running Wio Link v2.1.2
on Android 6.0.1
Nexus 6P

How can I fix this and get the Wio Link to connect to my WiFi? The password is correct.

For Android 6 and later, you have to open the Location Service (I don’t know why, but Google says accessing Wi-Fi in App should get the Location Service permission).

It seems that Wio Link can not get IP from your WiFi router.

Which encryption your router using? By now, Wio Link support WPA/WPA2.

BTW, Wio Link Android App has been updated to 2.2.0. pls update it.

Same issue here.

Android 6.0.1, Nexus 6.

Wio app v 2.2.0

Wifi network is WPA/WPA2 Personal.

Jakobw, do you try wio-cli (github.com/Seeed-Studio/wio-cli) ?

wii-cli can log more information.

BTW, non-English character is not supported for WiFi Router which wio link connects.
