I recently purchased 4x Raspberry PI GPS Modules, and are experiencing problems when using these with external active antennas. During testing the GPS signal quality does not change or improve with the external antenna connected. The ADDET pin is also always low, indicating that the L80-39 module has detected the external antenna, even when the antenna is disconnected. Any ideas what the problem might be?
I have a similar problem
, the other day i followed this exact github to set up my gps module, it took me about 30 minutes before being able to obtain fix locations IoT-For-Beginners/3-transport/lessons/1-location-tracking/pi-gps-sensor.md at main · microsoft/IoT-For-Beginners · GitHub. Then i brought it to a more city-ish area to test it out but it wasn’t getting any fix location, it was seeing satelites but not connecting to them (only blue light on, no green). Then so i went to test it again back home, let it run for 2ish hour and i cant seem to get any fix location anymore. I was wondering what I could do to debug this, is there a possibility that my module attached antenas is too weak? Thank you!
