Rainboduino 4x4x4 LED Cube Debugging

Hi there,

I built the Rainbow LED cube and it’s sort of working properly, but there are few things I’m not sure how to debug. I was reading the wiki and following the examples there.

The first cube example has an extra green LED lit.

If I try making all the LEDS red/green/blue they have varying levels of brightness. Is this normal? One of the LEDs is magenta when I try to make them all red.

I am guessing there are some soldering issues but I’ve checked each connection and they look ok. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, it looks like soldering issue. In few LEDs one or more channel is not responding(i.e not properly soldered).
