Questions about the Energy shield

Hi,

I have the Energy Shield (not the energy monitoring shield), to power the arduino board by the use of a lipo battery and a solar panel.

I have three different questions about it:

  1. Is it a way to measure the input voltage of the solar panel?
  2. Is it a way to measure the voltage of the battery?
    3)At the back side, there are two rows of pins. What are they for?
