I’m using the Quantum Mini Linux Development Kit but it doesn’t seem possible to have it boot with just a PD USB-C cable, it seems to require a serial connection. Can you confirm if that’s correct or am I doing something wrong?
I have the same problem.
How is the correct process to initial boot?
I just recieved two of these, and can’t get either set up. I’m not sure if it’s the linux build, an overheating issue, or bad wifi hardware on the SoC, but my serial connection locks up when I try configuring wifi, and only re-etching the micro-SD will get things running.
It’s not a power supply problem, as the the Mini is connected directly to the powered hub on my MacBook. I’ve tried four different Micro SD Cards, with the same results every time.
I still haven’t figured out the serial connection issue, but by using a USB keyboard and the builtin TFT, I have it up and running.
I’ve been running it on its own power supply: no serial connection required.
I have same problem with “USB-C <-> USB-C” cable and figure out it start running with “USB-C <-> USB-A” cable, but it seems it ony provide power, no serial communcation.
I’ve been running it on its own power supply: no serial connection required.
Do you mean, you connect power to 3.3V/GND landing pat on the board?
